Why use Multitest 720?

Multitest 720 allows you to carry out all the tests that need to be performed on respiratory protective masks. In combination with the MENZL Equipment Management and Testing program, the following steps are carried out fully automatically during testing:

• The pneumatic tightener tightens the mask so as to ensure that it sits perfectly on the inflatable dummy head.
• The necessary tests are carried out according to the requirements specified for the type of mask in question.
• The values recorded during testing are saved and documented by means of the MENZL Equipment Management and Testing program.
• After testing, the mask tightener releases the mask, which can then be taken off the dummy head.

The tester features an electro-pneumatic tightener for masks with five-point head harnesses. In combination with the snap-on support for two-point masks (sold separately), and if necessary docking adapters (sold separately), it is also possible to conveniently dock and test two-point (HMC) masks. Multitest 720‘s capability to operate in a fully automatic  computer assisted manner makes not only for the highest quality in terms of equipment testing but also for utmost operator-friendliness.

Scope of possible tests

• full-face masks – leak tightness at positive/negative pressure
• full-face masks – exhalation-valve opening pressure

Optional functionality upgrades and accessories make it possible to use the mask testers of the Multitest 720 series also for carrying out all of the static tests that need to be performed on lung-governed demand valves and chemical protective suits.

Functionality upgrades

Pressure gauge/digital pressure indicator: Multitest 720 can be upgraded with a low-pressure gauge (“M” models of the Multitest 720 series) or with a digital low-pressure indicator (“D” models of the Multitest 720 series), making it possible to operate the unit manually and perform tests without a computer.

Equipment testing at medium pressure: It is also possible to upgrade Multitest 720 with a medium-pressure transducer and medium-pressure connectors (“plus” models of the Multitest 720 series), making it possible to perform tests on  lung-governed demand valves pressurized with positive pressure. Medium-pressure tests cannot be performed manually but only by means of a computer and the MENZL Equipment Management and Testing program, with the data recorded during testing being displayed on the computer screen.

Specifications

Air of the quality prescribed for testing respiratory protective equipment (EN 12021) needs to be supplied to the tester at a pressure of 5 to 10 bar.
