Why use RDT 30?

Respiratory protective masks get exposed to a wide range of contaminants, such as dust, perspiration, bacteria and viruses, as well as dirt of all kinds. Hence, they need to be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected. Cleaning and disinfecting respiratory protective masks manually is a time-consuming, and not entirely hygienic, process.

The fully automatic RDT 30 mask washing machine is designed for the gentle, hygienic and efficient back-to-back cleaning, disinfecting and drying of respiratory protective masks. If the washing machine is to be used in settings where masks get particularly heavily soiled, it can be programmed to perform an extra cleaning cycle.

RDT 30 could not be easier to use: It has two rotary axes that are equipped with mask holders. After screwing or snapping the soiled masks onto the mask holders via adapters, RDT 30 is started, and approximately 3.5 hours later, the perfectly cleaned, disinfected, rinsed and dried masks can be taken out of the machine. Thanks to a broad range of optional mask adapters, RDT 30 can be loaded with a wide variety of masks from a large number of manufacturers.

How RDT 30 works

In a fully automatic manner, RDT 30 controls the required amounts of water and draws them directly from the available water supply. When the machine is used in its default configuration, the required amounts of disinfectant and detergent need to be added manually. Auto-supply units are available as an optional extra. The disinfectant/detergent is drawn from the reservoir by means of a pump, pressurized and sprayed onto and into the rotating masks for perfect cleaning and disinfecting.

The air used for drying is heated to approximately 40 °C and blown directly into the masks via the rotary axes and the mask adapters (forced ventilation). The rotation of the masks, which causes the residual water in them to spread evenly, and the stream of warm air ensure perfect drying in the shortest possible time. RDT 30’s built-in water heater, can heat the detergent and the disin-fectant in the machine to a maximum of 30 °C. The wastewater is pumped from the machine and discharged into the sewage system.
